I agree the FreeCAD tutorial scene is a bit scattered. It would be especially nice if his drawings were used (subject to permission of course).ĭisclaimer: I don't know this guy or have any affiliation with him. It would be good if some of those who take the time to produce YouTube tutorials followed his approach and provide a set of drawings or something similar.

I learned a lot in watching how he developed models and tried the examples in FreeCad, I have not got to the end yet (im stuck on drawing 11) but the approach Arnold used has been a great help to me. In his tutorials he explains the approach referring to the drawings and each lesson builds on the one before. If your a beginner and need a direction to go this is a good starting point. However the learning is going slowly, The other day I found a good tutorial on Fusion 360, the reason that the tutorial was good was that the presenter, Arnold Rowntree, presents a series of tutorials on aspects of parametric modelling using Fusion 360, the thing that stands him apart from other presenters is that he provides a PDF of 16 simple (entry level) drawings in PDF that allow you to follow what is going on, and allow you to practice using your preferred modelling software, in my case FreeCad. I am new to FreeCad and to and parametric modelling, I have followed the you tube tutorials and have learned a lot.
